The general contractor (GC) is the manager employed by the client working in collaboration with the architect for the completion of the project. The GC is responsible for the overall coordination of the project. This requirement dictates that the GC must first assess project specific documents. The GC considers the costs from general conditions to materials and equipment as well as time and quality of work and provides the owner with a price for the project. A GC is responsible for providing all of the material, labor equipment and services necessary for completion of the construction project.
